JOSEPH ALLEN (Executive Producer) is Co-Chairman, President, and Chief Operating Officer of Brant-Allen Industries, Inc., a business he jointly owns with Mr. Peter M. Brant. He has over thirty years of experience with the company and, along with Mr. Brant, is responsible for the company's notable growth. The company owns and operates the Bear Island Paper Company and F.F. Soucy Inc., both low cost manufacturers of high quality newsprint, with combined annual capacity of 450,000 tons. Principle customers include Dow Jones & Co., Gannett Co. and Media News Group, Inc.
In addition to "Pollock," he and Mr. Brant recently executive produced Julian Schnabel's "Basquiat," for Miramax Films.
Mr. Allen graduated with a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1963. He has served on the boards of many charitable organizations including Housing Works, which he helped found.
