Ann Wedgeworth

Ann Wedgeworth is perhaps best known to contemporary television viewers for her recurring
role on the CBS series Evening Shade. That role, however, is only the most recent for which Wedgeworth has received acclaim.
A veteran of theater, film and television, Wedgeworth has been seen in such feature
films as GREEN CARD, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, MISS FIRECRACKER, BANG THE DRUM SLOWLY and HANDLE WITH CARE (aka CITIZENS BAND), for which she received the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best
Actress.
In addition to her work on Evening Shade, Wedgeworth has also enterained fans in such popular television shows as Roseanne, The Equalizer, Trapper John, M.D. and Threes Company. She has also won awards for her stage roles including a Tony Award for Best Supporting
Actress for her performance in Neil Simons Chapter Two and a Drama Desk nomination for the off-Broadway hit A Lie of the Mind.
