Hans Zimmer
(Composer)

Hans Zimmer is without question the most talented and prolific film composer now working in film. Joining the great film musicians of our time including Henry Mancini, John Barry, John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith, Zimmer has proved his remarkable versatility in just a few short years with his dazzling scores of such films as RAIN MAN, DRIVING MISS DAISY, THELMA AND LOUISE, TRUE ROMANCE, CRIMSON TIDE, COOL RUNNINGS, BACKDRAFT, A WORLD APART, PAPERHOUSE, and last years Academy Award-winning score, THE LION KING.

Zimmer started his film composing career in London, England working with composer Stanley Meyers on such films as MY BEAUTIFUL LAUNDERETTE and INSIGNIFIGANCE, and Ryamichi Sakamoto on THE LAST EMPEROR.

THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD reunites Hans Zimmer with Director Dan Ireland. Their first collaboration was director Bernard Roses first film, PAPERHOUSE. Ireland was the Executive Producer of the picture. Zimmer and Ireland also collaborated on the film scores for BURNING SECRET, TWISTER and PAINT IT BLACK.

For THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, Hans Zimmer created the ultimate romantic score that not only adds to the films deep emotional resonance, but also has the ability to take audiences to another time and another world.
